Dynasty Warrior
Dynasty Warriors is a series of fighting/tactical action video games created by Omega Force/Koei. The award-winning series[1] is a spin-off of Koei’s turn-based strategy Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, based loosely around the Chinese epic of the same name. The first game titled Dynasty Warriors, Sangokumusō in Japan, is a fighting game and different from the rest of the series. All English titles are a number ahead of their Japanese counterparts due to the English localization of naming Shin Sangokumusō, a spin-off of the previously mentioned Sangokumusō game, as Dynasty Warriors 2. There is also the game “Destiny of an Emperor” which came out for the NES, and features much of the 3 kingdoms storylines and many of the characters from dynasty warriors. This game however had a turn based style of play to it. A player can manage a team of generals, modify their armor and weapons and heads off into the open to defeat certain generals and advance the plot. The storyline is comparable to the dynasty warriors series but does contain subtle differences.
